Die AT Styria – ARGE Platform Automation Technology Styria (ARGE according to WKG) is a network from around 140 companies, research and educational facilities and institutions (as of August 2024)[1] in the fields of electronics, computer science and mechanical engineering.

A total of over 25,000 employees work within the network in Styria.[2]. The aim of AT Styria is to be a cross-industry agile network of business, research and training. The focus is on strengthening the industry, active collaboration in joint projects and the exchange of know-how and over- and under-capacities.

Story

An initiative by Herbert Ritter, Vice President of the Styrian Chamber of Commerce, was created with the involvement of the Styrian Chamber of Commerce[3] and the University of Applied Sciences Campus 02[4] an independent, cross-divisional network for companies active in the field of automation technology. Since the first meeting on September 25, 2008, more than 60 companies have actively contributed until 2016. Finally, on June 14, 2016, the ARGE Platform Automation Technology Styria (ARGE according to WKG) founded as a corporation under public law with its registered office in the WKO Styria. The platform has also been operational since 2017, including a team responsible for day-to-day business.[5] AT Styria currently has a team of five.

Tasks and priorities

The cluster includes the three focal points Electrical engineering/Electronic, Computer Science and Mechanical engineering. He supports the Styrian automation technology industry with various digital tools[6][7] as well as with event formats and congresses,[8][9] the current technological one[10] and cover economic trends. The activities are intended to strengthen the industry and Styria as a business location. [11]
