You certainly know Strasbourg stud farms, this place full of surprises classified as a historical monument. Built in the middle of the 18th century, it was at the time the capital of grooms and their horses, in the heart of Petite France. Over time, Les Haras has been transformed into a top-of-the-range hotel combining the cachet of the era with the elegance of a more contemporary design. Today, the 4-star establishment also includes a brasserie (independent of the hotel), a bar, seminar spaces, and recently: a spa which should arouse the curiosity of Strasbourg residents. Small tour of the owner.
Les Haras is a haven of calm and elegance in the heart of Strasbourg. Completely rehabilitated in 2013, to become this jewel of architecture and elegance that we know, the establishment is now operating a new turning point in its history with the construction of a brand new building of 2,700 m2. In this new wing, you will find everything the residents of the hotel need, but above all, a whole universe around spa and well-being for Strasbourg residents. A space that completely disconnects us from our daily lives, and the least we can say is that it has an effect on anyone entering it for the first time. We present to you some of its particularities, simply to make you want to dive into it with your eyes closed, but we will still keep a small part of mystery.
A place of well-being with an astonishing design
A wellness area with an 18 meter long swimming pool (at 30 degrees, please), a sauna, a hammam, a rest room, another fitness room and three treatment cabins: this is THE novelty of this brand new Haras spa.
Fully equipped, this 400 m2 space strikes us first with its design between dream and science fiction, created by architects Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku. Whether or not you are a fan of the Star Wars universe, the atmosphere can only remind us of Tatooine, the fictional desert planet where Luke Skywalker was born. The sand color, the curves, the blue of the swimming pool and the whiteness of the materials used also take us to Santorini and Greece. In short, we escape in the heart of Strasbourg. Made with noble materials, we take a real slap in the face when entering this place with changing curves, and it must be said that it is quite confusing to find such a place, here in Strasbourg.
A personalized care card and special services
In addition to offering an atmosphere that takes us elsewhere, and a calm as hovering as a Pink Floyd vinyl, the spa offers care services with small onions. To take advantage of all the know-how of a prestigious French brand, with your feet in a fan, the Haras have teamed up with the NUXE house. Thus, the team can now offer a whole range of personalized treatments, massages and rituals entrusted to expert hands (who have also developed unique treatments especially for this place). We therefore find services adapted to each person: the perfect plan to relax, get back in shape or simply to have fun, alone or in pairs.
With the swimming pool, lit on one side by the sun and totally dark on the other, we have fun doing lengths between light and shade. After that, a short passage in the hammam and the sauna, a Nordic shower and a time of relaxation in the rest room end up soothing us. You can go home with a little smile on your lips and the pleasure of having enjoyed a real moment of pleasure and escape that you sometimes deserve to treat yourself to.
