It is a question of financing and distributing one hundred and twenty hygiene kits for the poor.
The new project matured within the Paul-Langevin vocational school is part of the civic perspective of the establishment through a partnership with the association Les P’tits Villages d’Afrique and the objective of distributing 120 hygiene kits to the poorest people in the Gard.
Pedagogical meetings have allowed the emergence of a project articulated and built with the students, the first stage of which is an online collection. This is an internal kitty, where donations are made by students and school staff, its goal is to reach €1,000 to finance the 120 hygiene kits.
The practice, knowledge of the field of the association Les P’tits Villages d’Afrique, the wise advice of its representative, Mourad Sbai, enrich the presentation of the project to the class of Radia Karim, teacher at the initiative of the project as Sofian Kodad.
Because the association, which, in Nîmes and every 15 days, offers meals to around 130 people, contributes to the project in its management and as a distribution point where high school students will have to get in touch with the recipients of the kits that they will compose and distribute themselves.
Sensitize all students
The distribution is scheduled for March 12, eight students will be chosen on a voluntary basis to live this enriching experience. High school students in the Commerce Trades option must first make all the other students in the establishment aware of the cause in order to fill the kitty. Especially since if the amount is reached, Les P’tits Villages d’Afrique will build a well in one of the villages where they are sorely lacking.
This is one of the major actions of the association which has already made 900 wells, and which, through this project, encourages a disconnected and demanding generation to put their situation into perspective, to put it into perspective with that of the poorest.
Radia Karim therefore insists, during the presentation, on the double objective of the project which calls on the empathy of the pupils and puts into practice the knowledge acquired and the learning of the class which will have to convince the whole establishment to participate. . “I count on your powers of persuasion!”she launches, already decided to perpetuate the action in the coming years, in view of the involvement of the students.
The hygiene kits include: shower gel, comb, razor, toothpaste, cotton swabs, handkerchiefs, soap, cream, toothbrush, and the “plus” of the association: a pair of socks.
