jpnn.com, JAKARTA – A group of masses claiming to be students from various universities held a demonstration in front of the DPP office Democratic party (PD), Jalan Proklamasi, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday (15/3) night.
The demonstrators urged the DPP Democrat Party to clarify the support of students from 10 universities for the leadership of Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) in the party bearing the symbol of the red and white triangle.
“We demand Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono to clarify the support received this afternoon,” said one of the orators in front of the Democratic Party’s DPP, Monday (15/3).
The Menteng sector police who were at the location tried to disperse the action.
“There should be no speeches at night, there should be no crowds during the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Menteng Police Chief AKBP Iver Son Manossoh.
However, the masses ignored the prohibition from the police. Until 19.33 WIB, the crowd were still holding out in front of the DPP Democrat Party’s office while demanding AHY to meet them.
Previously, student representatives from Mpu Tantular University, Ibnu Chaldun University, Bung Karno University, Jakarta Islamic University, Borobudur University, As Syafiah Islamic University, Krisnadwipayana University, Indonesian Christian University, Bina Sarana Informatika University, Jayabaya University, and Mandala Indonesian College of Administrative Sciences visited the DPP PD on Monday (15/3).
They came to the DPP PD to provide support to AHY who was facing a management conflict with the camp Moeldoko.
