Dave and Patrick Loiseau: a story that has lasted since the 1970s
In the 1970s, Dave met Patrick Loiseau in a bar on Rue Saint-Jacques in Paris. The lyricist then fell in love with the singer. However, he was not in a period of his life where he wanted to meet someone. Indeed, Patrick Loiseau had just broken up with the actor Anthony Perkins. “The story was ending. It was actually continued in an epistolary manner beyond our meeting with Dave.”he explained to Gala.
Even though Dave did not have children with Patrick Loiseau, they decided to get married late in life. Already in a civil partnership, they got married in December 2019. “We’ve been married since it was possible, for purely administrative reasons. We got married in secret, there were four of us.”explained the interpreter of Vanina on France 3. They were encouraged to get married by their friend Marc-Olivier Fogiel. As we said above, Dave recently gave an interview to our colleagues at Provence. He then spoke about his state of health. “For my age, I’m not doing too badly. In 2022, I had a big fall down the stairs, which caused me to be in a coma for four days and in the hospital for a month.”he explained to the local newspaper. Since this accident, the singer has lost his sense of taste and smell for a time.
He then made some rather surprising confidences about his life as a couple. “At my age, sexuality is calmer than at 20. So we find other pleasures, like cooking!”added the singer, without taboo. Incidentally, the singer also indicated that he spends part of his summer holidays in Saumane-de-Vaucluse, where he has a second home with his husband.
