According to local authorities, near the 8:30 p.m., a tornado made landfall in Edwardsville, southwest of Chicago. Strong gusts of wind tore off part of the roof and a wall of the logistics center.

After receiving the report, at least 100 emergency vehicles responded to the call. At the scene, it was reported at least two deceased persons.
