At least six more cases filed against music mogul Diddy

Today at least six people filed a new lawsuit against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. He is accused of raping women and sexually assaulting men. The rapper is also said to have abused a 16-year-old boy.

At the beginning of October it was announced that the 54-year-old music mogul was charged with extortion, sexual exploitation and human trafficking for the purposes of prostitution. He was arrested and jailed for this in September.

Last week it emerged that a further 120 victims had come forward with allegations of sexual violence. Of these, 25 were said to be minors at the time of the abuse.

Two of the new cases were reported by anonymous women and four by anonymous men. The man, who was 16 at the time of the alleged abuse, claims Combs touched his genitals at one of the rapper’s infamous ‘White Parties’.

He says the rapper made him take off his pants during a conversation about a possible career in music. According to Diddy, that was part of the rite of passage to becoming a music star. The victim says he allowed the abuse to happen because he was afraid and only later realized he had an unequal power relationship with Diddy.

One of the women says she was raped by the music mogul in 2014. In a hotel room he said he forced her to perform oral sex on him and a friend. Diddy reportedly threatened to kill her if she didn’t do that.

The trial against Combs will begin on May 5 next year and is expected to last about a month. The public prosecutor says he needs three weeks to present the case. Combs’ lawyers believe they will need a week to defend. At the initial hearing, Combs pleaded not guilty.

Sean Combs became known in the 1990s as the rapper Puff Daddy and the founder of the record label Bad Boy Records. He released, among other things, the legendary album Ready to die with rapper The Notorious BIG, who was killed in 1997. Combs himself also had a few hits such as with I will miss you.

Combs has also become a wealthy man by investing in tequila and a clothing line, among other things. His net worth was estimated at around $1 billion in 2022.
