At least seven people were injured after a pickup truck collided with a vehicle and then it struck a food facility across the street from a restaurant.
The incident took place near Second Avenue and East 50th Street at around 8:30 a.m. according to authorities.
Of the injured, four were taken to hospital. The severity of the injuries is unclear.
The food facility was empty and the injured were hit by the truck after the crash and others by materials that fell from scaffolding at the site.
The driver of the truck was arrested and suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, always according to the authorities.
