Saxony’s football association calls for a tournament
While nothing has been going on on the football fields since the beginning of November, the ball in Saxony should at least be rolling again virtually in January. The Saxon Football Association (SFV) is holding a regional association trophy in e-football for the first time. In spring, the SFV set up a successful online tournament with the Finish-It-Cup, in which around 300 players took part.

“This time the idea comes from the DFB, and something should take place in each federal state,” says Chris Rohde, who takes care of the organization at the SFV. Since the beginning of December, interested parties can register via the association’s homepage. After registering, you will receive a verification letter that must be filled out by the board of your football club. This is to ensure that the players – who must be at least 16 years old – can start as representatives of their club. Several participants are allowed per club. Registration is still possible until December 23rd. The Fifa 21 tournament will be played in January in a double pack on the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One, each with up to 128 participants. (aheb)
