At least 19 people died in a bus crash in Egypt on Saturday. The bus went off the road and ended up in a roadside ditch, Egypt’s health ministry said.
The exact number of injured is not yet known. The reported figures range from 6 to 16. According to the latest information, the bus had at least 35 occupants.
The incident occurred in the northern region of Dakahlia. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Presumably, the bus was traveling at high speed, as the canal is alongside a highway.
