At least five people died and over nine were seriously injured when a rock fell from a rock wall and hit small boats on a lake in Brazil on Saturday.

According to firefighters, including divers, they are searching for 20 people who are to be missing, writes Reuters.

Videos on social media show how tourists drive around in small boats on the lake near a mountain wall when a large party suddenly loosens and falls into the lake. Several of the boats are said to have been hit by the rock masses.
Around 23 others were treated for minor injuries, said fire department spokesman Pedro Aihara.
The accident happened on Lake Furnas in the state of Minas Gerais. Lake Furnas is a popular destination and is located about 420 kilometers north of São Paulo.
There has been heavy rain in the area, and officials say it was probably the reason why the boulder came loose, writes NTB.
