At least 85 children have been killed and nearly 100 children injured in hostilities in Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office said on Telegram on Sunday.

The statement said 85 children had been killed and nearly a hundred injured in Ukraine by the morning of March 13. The worst victims are in Kiev, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Zhytomyr regions.

It has also been reported that 369 educational institutions have been destroyed in bombings and shootings, of which 57 have been completely destroyed. The highest number of educational institutions was destroyed in the Donetsk region – 119 in the Mykolaiv region, 28 in the Sumy and Kiev regions, 21 in the Kherson region, and 17 in the capital.

On Saturday alone, 11 educational institutions in the Mykolaiv region were injured, as well as 11 medical institutions and three rehabilitation centers, including children with special needs.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine stated that these data are not final, as it is not possible to clarify the situation in places where the Russian armed forces continue active hostilities.
