A building under construction has collapsed in Washington in the middle of a heavy storm and has left at least 5 injured.
The events occurred in the Brightwood Park neighborhood, which is a commercial and residential area. The collapse has caused it to have been evacuate two neighboring houses to the land under construction, as reported by the fire department of the District of Columbia.
Among the injured, the experience of one of them who has had to endure an hour and a half under the rubble of 3 floors from the structure until finally rescue teams have been able to free him. Four other workers were taken to hospitals with minor to serious injuries, according to rescuers.
The firefighters also released photographs of the building, which were to be apartments, which was reduced to a wooden mountain and in which you could see what appears to be a roof; as well as a video of the rescuers’ work on the rubble.
