At least 35 Palestinians have died in recent hours in attacks by the Israeli Army in the center and south of the Gaza Strip, while, in the north, Israeli tanks continue to destroy buildings and advance towards the heart of the city of Jabalia, where the Yesterday, Monday, the Israeli Army issued evacuation orders.
The Israeli attacks, at dawn and in the central area, part of Israel’s military campaign against the Hamas terrorist organization, targeted a four-story residential building in the Al Bureij camp, causing the death of at least 17 people and 13 injured, according to a journalist from the EFE agency, present there.
The Israeli Army, for its part, confirmed this Tuesday in a military statement that they continue to “dismantle infrastructure” and eliminate militiamen “in selective raids” in Bureij.
In another attack on tents for displaced people in the Nuseirat camp, at least ten people lost their lives, according to local sources. While in Rafah, the southern end of the enclave, an Israeli drone attacked a gathering of citizens at a water collection point, causing eight deaths, medical sources from the European Hospital in Gaza reported.
In Jabalia, north of the enclave, Palestinian sources described the presence of Israeli tanks advancing towards the center of this city, after yesterday the military spokesman in Arabic, Avichay Adraee, urged the evacuation of all the remaining inhabitants of Beit Hanoun, Jabalia and Beit Lahia.
«Army forces are operating with great force in the area. For your safety, you must evacuate these areas immediately to the new humanitarian zone in Al Mawasi,” Adraee said.
Already on Sunday, the Army announced that this new incursion into Yabalia tries to avoid the presence of militiamen, as well as their ability to regroup by systematically destroying terrorist infrastructure.
However, the local population describes a situation of panic, with “families trapped inside the camp” due to the military siege, air attacks and the “permanent” disconnection between the city and the camp of the same name.
“The tanks continue to advance towards the city of Yabalia while artillery and gun attacks are intensively used,” said a local journalist, without yet being able to specify a number of fatalities.
