Gaza. At least 30 Palestinians lost their lives on Saturday night due to an Israeli bombardment in the town of Beit Lahia in the north of the Gaza Strip, the official Palestinian agency WAFA reported.
The Israeli army bombed a residential area of at least five homes. Among the victims are women and children, WAFA said.
Local residents told Xinhua that neither the Civil Defense nor medical teams were able to reach the area, forcing the residents themselves to transport the victims in search of help, using donkey carts or on foot.
The Israeli military has not commented on this incident.
Israel undertook a large-scale offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip in retaliation for the Hamas incursion across Israel’s southern border on October 7, 2023, during which around 1,200 people were killed and about 250 were taken as hostages.
The number of Palestinians who have died from the current Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip amounts to 42,924, a statement from Gaza health authorities said today.
