Today, a yellow code for dangerous weather has been announced in six regions of North-Eastern Bulgaria. In Ruse, Razgrad, Silistra, Dobrich, Varna, Shumen and Targovishte there will be short-term, temporarily intense rainfall and thunderstorms. The expected amount of precipitation is 20-35 mm, locally it is possible and more, NIMH informs especially for Shumen region.
Today, already before noon over Eastern Bulgaria, and around and after noon over most of the country, cumulus and cumulus-rain clouds will develop. There will also be conditions for hail. The wind will temporarily be oriented from the north-northwest, it will be weak, in the eastern half of the country – moderate.
The maximum temperatures will be in a wide range: from 25°-26° in North-Eastern Bulgaria to 30°-33° in places in the Danube Plain, the Upper Thracian Plain and along the Struma Valley. In Sofia, the maximum temperature will be around 29°, and in Plovdiv 33 degrees.
Larger amounts of precipitation are expected in the Plovdiv region, mostly on Friday and also on Saturday, and there will be light rainfall on Thursday. According to “Synoptic”, the amount of precipitation in the district in these three days will be about 12 liters per square meter.
