At least 12 people have been killed and 34 injured in a bus crash in Egypt. The accident happened on a highway near the city of Suez, according to the Egyptian state news agency MENA.
The bus drove from the seaside resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to the capital Cairo. On the way, the vehicle would have hit a concrete guardrail and rolled over.
Thousands of people die every year in road accidents in Egypt. Accidents are often caused by speeding, the poor quality of roads, the poor technical condition of vehicles and the inadequate enforcement of road safety.
