Representatives of the Papuan People’s Representative Council (DPR) visited the office of Komnas HAM. They claimed to convey the aspirations of the community regarding the health condition of the governor of Papua Luca Enembe who is now a suspect in the KPK.
“We have come to Komnas HAM regarding the legal process for the governor of Papua Luca Enembe. He said the KPK had to consider Lukas Enembe’s health condition. He hopes that the KPK’s actions against Lukas Enembe will not cause conflict.

“Therefore, for the sake of humanity, we ask the KPK to consider the health condition by treating it with humanity, not to take measures that we suspect may lead to conflict. We want to solve problems but not create new problems,” he said.
He also spoke about the Papuan Special Autonomy Fund. According to him, the funds were used according to the rules.

Previously, the news that Lukas Enembe was a suspect in the KPK was first relayed by his attorney’s coordinator, Stefanus Roy Rening. He received a letter from the KPK stating that Lukas Enembe was officially a suspect as of September 5, 2022.
