Nicolas Tranchant was warned: when the Majorel group recalled him from Morocco to take over the head of the Aquitel call center in Poitiers, which he had already managed from 2018 to 2020, it was to rectify a delicate situation: the main of his three clients had just informed him of his intention to withdraw.
At stake: more than half of the turnover of the Poitevin call center, based at Futuroscope and 250 jobs in the balance. Even if Nicolas Tranchant and the American client took steps to smooth out the social consequences of this disengagement, Aquitel saw 150 experienced employees leave who, for the most part, had little difficulty finding work. in a sector of activity over-represented in Poitiers.

But it was also about ensuring the sustainability of the Poitiers site, the only one to operate under the Aquitel brand, by quickly finding a new client. Complicated task but successful task.
Aquitel has just signed a huge contract with a large French energy company, which does not wish its name to be revealed, like most call center clients. This is once again guaranteed work for a hundred employees who did not wish to leave. But also for at least a hundred additional people being recruited.

To give visibility to its hiring campaign, Aquitel called on the good services of Earvin Ngapeth. The star player of Alterna Stade Poitevin volleyball, of which Aquitel has been one of the partners since September 2024, lent himself to a short video in which he plays, in a humorous way, a customer advisor. With this slogan as a final point: “Join the team!” »
This partnership, explains Nicolas Tranchant, is part of the desire for territorial anchoring of the company which enjoys broad decision-making autonomy within the Majorel group. This includes working as much as possible with local actors.
The director of the call center (which offers match tickets to its most involved employees every week) explains that the leaders of the Poitevin volleyball club and his company share common objectives: “They want to talk about the ASPVB and we want to talk about Aquitel. »
