“Lateral thinkers” attacked journalists
A television team from Südwestrundfunk (SWR) was attacked in Stuttgart after the end of a demo against corona measures on Saturday. As a police spokesman said in the evening, an object was thrown at the team. Nobody was injured. A spokesman for the SWR confirmed the incident. The police saw the attack and approached the man, said the spokesman for the SWR. The team was therefore not reported. To what extent the demo participant had to answer for the attack, the police spokesman could not initially say. The television team was also repeatedly verbally attacked.
In Dresden, hundreds of critics of the Corona measures gathered in the city on Saturday, despite the ban on the “lateral thinking” demonstration, according to the police. “We have been on the road since the early hours of the morning to enforce the ban,” said a police spokesman on Saturday. The situation is “very dynamic”. Several hundred people had gathered in front of the congress center near the state parliament in the early afternoon. The right-wing group “Heidenauer Wavelength” had actually registered a rally there. According to the police, there were far more than the registered 150 participants.
Lateral thinker demos: the city of Nuremberg has hands tied
The demonstrators criticized the Corona measures with slogans, according to the police, many did not wear a mask and did not pay attention to minimum distances. According to a dpa reporter, the events were at times confusing and the mood was sometimes tense. The police repeatedly asked people to leave the place. There were repeated calls like “The pandemic is over”. Water cannons were positioned at the Ostragehege near the city center to secure the vaccination center there.
The police reported several hundred demonstrators in the direction of the Ostragehege as well as several hundred people who gathered in the city center. The officials blocked roads to stop both protest marches.
On Saturday night, the Saxon Higher Administrative Court (OVG) in Bautzen confirmed the ban on the “lateral thinking” demonstration planned for Saturday afternoon by the Dresden Administrative Court. The officials assumed in advance that, despite the ban, the scene would be mobilized for spontaneous actions. The Königsufer, on which the “lateral thinking” demo was originally supposed to take place, was cordoned off over a large area, and numerous access roads were closed. Among other things, a police helicopter was in use.
It went peacefully: Corona car parade in Magdeburg

Around 300 people also came together on the Domplatz for a rally, as the police announced. According to the information, there were a total of four protests in the city. The meetings went smoothly, the police said.
Munich: Police dissolve the demo
The police broke up a demonstration against the corona measures with several thousand participants near the Bavarian state parliament in Munich on Saturday. “The demonstration was terminated by the police because of several non-compliance with conditions, that is, dissolved,” said a police spokesman. Not only was the number of participants exceeded. In many cases, the mask requirement was ignored and the minimum distance was not observed.
