The vaccination set up at the Louis-Pasteur hospital is changing.
Since Tuesday, March 9, patients aged 50 to 75 with comorbidity, who travel for a consultation at the Chartres hospital, can be vaccinated against Covid-19 following their medical appointment, if they wish. They are then injected with a dose of AstraZeneca vaccine. Previously, only the most fragile patients could benefit from a vaccine.

“The idea is for patients to be referred directly by their doctor to another consultation room, where a team receives them for vaccination,” explains Céline Marcille, healthcare manager at Louis-Pasteur hospital.

Karine received a dose of vaccine, Thursday March 11, after a consultation in visceral surgery. “It was offered to me. I was not expecting that at all. This is the good news of the day. Even my parents have not yet been vaccinated, ”says the 52-year-old patient.
To receive the second dose, in nine to twelve weeks, Karine will have to go to the hospital’s vaccination center.

Since Wednesday March 10, vaccination has also been offered to people hospitalized in the establishment, aged 50 to 75 years, with comorbidity. “Thanks to these devices, we reach a maximum of people,” says Yvon Le Tilly, deputy director of the Hospitals of Chartres.
As of March 8, 1,541 people (caregivers and people at risk) had received a dose of the Pfizer vaccine at the Chartres hospital (1,451 both doses). 200 doses of Moderna vaccine were also administered and 443 doses of AstraZeneca.
