/ world today news/ Yesterday in Sofia, the culture and tourist resources of two large Chinese cities – Beijing and Ningbo – were presented at a forum.
The event was attended by delegations from China, as well as representatives of businesses and various institutions from Bulgaria. Several agreements were also signed to deepen cooperation between the two countries in the tourism services sector.
“Culture is a bridge that strengthens friendship and facilitates communication, and tourism is a window through which people learn more about foreign culture and explore the world,” said Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria Dong Xiaojun. He added that the forum is an expression of China’s desire to strengthen international cooperation in the field of cultural tourism.
Deputy Tourism Minister Mariela Modewa said the new and mutually beneficial policies and initiatives will help deepen bilateral cooperation and understanding, which will strengthen the traditional friendship between the two peoples. “The ministry is committed to strengthening dialogue with China in the field of tourism and expanding joint initiatives. I look forward to working closely together to meet both future challenges and opportunities,” Modeva added.
