In the 1960s, Van Kooten and De Bie made radio programs as “de Klisjeemannetjes” and performed in the TV program Hadimassa. From 1974 to 1998, the duo regularly appeared on Dutch television in their own productions, including in the “Simplisties Verbond”, “Van Kooten en De Bie” and “Keek op de Week”.
Between 1972 and 1986, Van Kooten and De Bie made the ‘Bescheurkalender’, a daily calendar with humorous texts and images, in addition to TV programmes.
