The risk of kidney damage in Covid-19 patients could arise after recovery, according to the study.

The report revealed a study published in Journal of American Society of Nephrology.
Even kidney problems are also experienced Covid-19 patient who do not experience symptoms when infected, aka people without symptoms (OTG).
Reported from Bloomberg (1/9/2021), the study explains that injuries to the blood filtering organs can occur among people who are self-isolating at home.
And this risk increases with the severity of the Covid-19 infection experienced.
Moreover, it is also mentioned that although Covid-19 patient who are self-isolating without symptoms and previous kidney problems, they were twice as likely to develop end-stage kidney disease, compared to someone who had never had Covid-19.
This problem is because problems that occur in the kidneys often cannot be identified early on.
The data in the report shows 7.8 people per 10,000 Covid-19 patient with mild to moderate symptoms have serious kidney problems.
This was revealed by Ziyad Al-Aly, director of the center for clinical epidemiology at the Louis Health Care System in Missouri, who also led the research team, Wednesday (1/9/2021).
