El-Shafei Saleh, president of the Aswan Club, revealed the reasons for the departure of the coaching staff led by Rabie Yassin, stressing that the team is able to compete and remain in the league.
The Aswan Club has decided to end its relationship with Rabie Yassin, coach, and Haitham Orabi, sporting director, after the first football team suffered 3 defeats in the first three rounds of the new season in the Premier League.
Al-Shafi’i Saleh said in statements on the Sada Al-Balad channel: “Praise God, football has gains and losses and we will not be the only team to be defeated, and the next one will be better, God willing.”
He added: “We have all respect for captain Rabie Yassin, who worked hard with us but suffered bad luck after losing in the first 3 games, he asked us for an apology and we accepted it from him.”
He continued: “We don’t want to waste time and the desire that existed between us to end the relationship by mutual agreement, in a friendly and respectful way.”
He continued: “We have not chosen the replacement manager. We have enough time to choose who will coach the team in the next phase, especially as there is a break for the national teams.”
The Aswan president continued: “The departure of the coaching staff is logical after failing in three consecutive games, and it was necessary to look for the best.”
Regarding the departure of Haitham Orabi, the club president said: “We have a strong relationship with Haitham Orabi, we respect him and there are no differences with him. What happened with the team is bad luck and failure.”
He concluded: “We have a good team and illustrious players who are able to compete and remain in the Premier League.”
