Asvel must pull themselves together against Cholet to stay in the race

Only three days after their defeat at home against Cholet, Asvel travels this Friday for the second leg of the quarter-finals of the play-offs.

The Villeurbannais will be keen to catch up this Friday, May 27 in Cholet for round 2 of the quarter-finals of the plays offs. Announced favorite, Asvel had lost against well-prepared Choletais (70 – 74). A meeting that seemed within reach of TJ Parker’s men who had started well by leading 43 to 32 at halftime.

All eyes are now on Maine-et-Loire, where the Rhodanians will have to be proud to continue dreaming of a third title of champions of France. But be careful not to fall a second time into the trap set by Cholet. In the first leg, the “outsiders” had contained the third best attack in the championship, accustomed to shooting at more than 85 points on average. But Villeurbanne could not go beyond 70 points on Tuesday, a scenario visible only twice this season in Betclic. We will therefore have to do more this Friday at 8:30 p.m.
