The line that separates laptops from tablets has become noticeably more blurred in recent years. Several notebook computer models have been equipped in recent years with features such as touch screens and detachable keyboards that allow for areas of use reminiscent of tablets. Now Asus is releasing a laptop that takes that idea to the next level.
Models which is presented it’s the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, which stands out from the crowd to say the least. Here, parading number one is the foldable touchscreen with an OLED panel, which measures 17.3 inches and has a resolution of 2,560×1,920 pixels. When the screen is folded, it instead splits into two 12.5-inch screens with a resolution of 1,920×1,280 pixels. This allows for multiple modalities, from the more traditional laptop to tablet or tablet.
The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED has a magnesium alloy exterior, and so that the computer can stand flat, there is a built-in faux leather stand. The computer keyboard and touchpad are not integrated, but are included as accessories that connect via Bluetooth. In addition, there are two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a camera with Windows Hello login support. In terms of power, it is Intel’s Core i7-1250U that applies, a ten-core model with two high-performance cores and eight integrated, energy-efficient Xe graphics. It is accompanied by 16GB of LPDDR5 memory and an SSD with a capacity of 1TB.
The Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is available for pre-order, with sales just around the corner on December 21st. The computer will be a very expensive story, with a Swedish MSRP of SEK 44,999.
