ASUS announces the ROG Swift PG32UQ monitor. The 32 “screen has an IPS panel with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. ASUS is also targeting console gamers with the HDMI 2.1 connection.
Of ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQ-monitor uses an IPS panel that, according to the manufacturer, can display 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. ASUS says it calibrates every copy of the monitor at the factory. The manufacturer also speaks of a gray-to-gray response time of 1ms.
In combination with a PC, the screen can be used at 4k144Hz via the DisplayPort 1.4 connection and Display Stream Compression. When used with consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, 4k display with a refresh rate of 120Hz is possible via the two HDMI 2.1 connections, which also support variable refresh rate in automatic low latency mode.
The screen receives a DisplayHDR 600 certification and can therefore display a peak brightness of at least 600cd / m². The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and may receive an Nvidia G-Sync Compatible label, the process is still ongoing, ASUS reports.
The monitor stand and the ROG logo on the back have RGB LEDs that support Aura Sync, so that the lighting can work with other RGB products. ASUS has not yet announced the price of the HDMI 2.1 monitor. The screen will be released in the second quarter of this year, according to the manufacturer.
