In 2022, ASUS is proud to announce that the ROG Phone 6 series will be coming to the Chinese and global markets as the world’s first gaming smartphone powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1! In fact, the first teaser about it came from the official ROG Global account on Instagram.
In its post, ASUS officially confirmed that the next flagship line, the ROG Phone 6 series will soon be launched in the global market. Apparently, the post shared by ASUS was warmly welcomed by ROG fans.
ASUS via ROG Global officially replied on Instagram that fans can look forward to the soon-to-be-released announcement for the launch of the ROG Phone 6 lineup. This is the world’s first gaming smartphone to be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
The second teaser also comes from the official ROG Gaming Phone social media account on Weibo. In its post, ASUS ROG confirmed that the ROG Phone 6 series will be launched as a Tencent variant in the Chinese market. Yes! The smartphone will feature the “Tencent Games” branding on the back of the device.
In addition, they also wrote that the software aka the software embedded in the ROG Phone 6 will be slightly different from the global variant. Even so, the Tencent variant of the ROG Phone 6 series will still be armed with the same chipset as the global variant, namely Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
