Asus showcased its newest line of gaming laptops in the Republic of Gamers line at CES 2022. Some of the highlights are ROG Zephyrus G14, ROG Zephyrus G15, and ROG SW Duo 16.
Zephyrus G14 and G15 bring many improvements in terms of specifications and features. One of the biggest improvements is the presence of an infrared webcam that integrates with Windows Hello.
Both of these laptops previously did not have a webcam. Asus says gamers don’t really mind the absence of a webcam on this laptop, but the combination of a smaller screen panel and smaller camera makes this feature possible to incorporate into a laptop.
The design of the Zephyrus G14 is enhanced by carrying a 50% larger trackpad, smaller screen bezel, and a mini-LED on the outside that can display dot-matrix animations more smoothly and brighter.
In terms of performance, the Zephyrus G14 brings a sizeable upgrade. This laptop uses the latest Ryzen 6000 chip from AMD and supports up to Ryzen 9 6900HS. The graphics are handled by the Radeon RX 6800S.

This laptop features MUX switches that allow users to switch between integrated or discrete graphics. Cooling is also improved thanks to a new vapor chamber, liquid metal in the CPU and GPU, debut filters, and a fan with higher airflow.
In terms of screen, the Zephyrus G14 carries a 14-inch screen with a 16:10 ratio and QHD resolution. The display also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 500 nits of brightness, and Dolby Vision support.
If you want a more battery-efficient and pocket-friendly variant, Asus also offers a version with a resolution of 1080p, 144Hz, and a brightness level of 450 nits.
Talking about the battery, the Zephyrus G14 is equipped with a 67Wh battery. Asus claims this battery can last up to 10 hours to play videos.
Turning to its brother Zephyrus G15, this larger laptop is equipped with a processor up to AMD Ryzen 6900HS and graphics handled by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti.

The screen still has a 16:9 ratio and comes in QHD resolution, a refresh rate of 240Hz, and a brightness level of 300 nits. This laptop screen also supports Dolby Vision and adaptive sync as well as certification from Pantone.
Asus equips this laptop with a 90Wh battery. This battery is claimed Asus can last up to 14 hours to watch a video.
Both the Zephyrus G14 and G15 support up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD. Both also have two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI 2.0b, a microSD card reader and a headphone jack.
Asus has not revealed how much the Zephrus G14 and Zephyrus G15 will cost. These two laptops will only be available in mid or late 2022.
