Uzone.id – This year, Asus is not only bringing its first gaming laptop powered by an Intel Core 14th Gen processor. Soon, the first gaming laptop will be available with a ROG Nebula Display screen with an OLED panel that supports technology variable refresh rate or VRR.
Asus brought two gaming laptops to Indonesia with ROG Nebula Display OLED screens, namely the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G16. Both will happen hero product as well as a gaming laptop flagship from Asus in 2024.
“This year, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 and G14 are Asus gaming laptops with OLED screens. “There are options later, there are mini-LED screens and most recently OLED screens,” said Head of PR Asus Indonesia, Muhammad Firman, at the ‘ROG The First to Bring Innovation to Indonesia’ event in Jakarta.

Country Technical Public Relations of Asus Indonesia, Riandanu Madi Utomo, said that the OLED screen on the ROG Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G16 is very special, because it is the first OLED screen laptop in the world equipped with VRR technology.
VRR itself is a very important feature for gamers because it can eliminate effects screen tearing and stuttering while playing games.
Furthermore, both the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G16 also have a different design from the previous generation. Both no longer feature the AniMe Matrix design on the rear body, but instead Slash Lightning.
“The light effect on Slash Lightning can be adjusted via Armory Crate. “The appearance is different from before,” explained Riandanu.
It’s the same with form factor both increasingly compact laptops. The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 now weighs 1.5 kg, while the Zephyrus G16 weighs 1.85 kg. Both are thinner than last year’s generation.
“Made using CNC aluminum, the screen is coated with Gorilla Glass. Now there aren’t any fingerprintcompletely facial recognition,” he explained.
Powered by new processors from AMD and Intel
Asus has embedded the latest generation processor for the ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16. The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 will be powered by a processor up to AMD Ryzen 8545HS, while the Zephyrus G16 is supported by a chipset up to Intel Core Ultra 9 185H.

Both are the latest generation CPUs that are equipped with neural processing unit (NPU) to accelerate processing artificial intelligence (AI). Meanwhile, for graphics, both rely on the Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Series GPU, which has been tested for reliability in terms of gaming, content production and AI.
Firman confirmed that these two laptops will be available soon on the Indonesian market. Apart from the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G16, Asus will also bring a series of other laptops powered by Intel Core 14th Gen in the near future, such as the ROG Strix SCAR 16/18 and Strix G16/G18.
“Asus gaming laptops with Intel Core 14th Gen will enter the Indonesian market in the first quarter of 2024. “Everything uses new technology from Intel,” he concluded.
