ASUS introduces its ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD monitor. This ‘superwide monitor’ will have a screen size of 49″ and a QD OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. The manufacturer also shows a 4k gaming monitor with 144Hz refresh rate and a 1080p360 screen of 25″.
The ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD has a resolution of 5120×1440 pixels and therefore has an aspect ratio of 32:9. The company reports this on Tuesday during Computex. The screen will have a QD OLED panel from Samsung, which will be provided with cooling with a heatsink and graphene film behind the screen. According to ASUS, the monitor has a peak brightness of up to 1000cd/m². The screen also supports a variable refresh rate and has an 1800R curvature. That means that the curve corresponds to that of a circle of 1800mm.
The 49″ superwide display also gets a USB-C connection with USB-PD up to 90W, in addition to DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1. The display also supports ASUS’ DisplayWidget Center software, which allows users to customize the display’s settings through their PC with a mouse and keyboard. The monitor also features a built-in KVM switch that allows users to control two connected devices with a single mouse and keyboard. The manufacturer is not yet sharing a suggested retail price or release date.

ASUS is also introducing two other ROG gaming monitors. The ROG Swift PG38UQ is an IPS screen with a screen size of 38″, a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. ASUS mentions an advertised gtg response time of 1ms and claims that the screen can display 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. The screen also gets a variable refresh rate, a DisplayHDR 600 certification, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and a USB hub.
The ROG Strix XG259QN, in turn, is a 24.5-inch monitor with full HD resolution. That screen has a refresh rate of 360Hz, although it can be overclocked to 380Hz. The screen in question also gets an IPS panel. manufacturer advertises a gtg response time of “less than 1ms” with this monitor. The screen gets a variable refresh rate with ELMB support for less motion blur, a DisplayPort 1.4 connection, two HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB 3.2 ports and a 3 .5mm jack for audio.
ASUS does not yet mention a concrete release date for these two screens either. It is also not yet known what the two screens will cost.
