A few days ago, Nvidia introduced the new GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards, after which the manufacturers of these cards began to present their models. Nvidia has managed to reduce the TBP here to 115 W, which is a nice change in light of the ever-increasing consumption of recent years. Thanks to this, it is possible to cool these cards more easily and use smaller coolers. Company Asus but she also took it from the opposite side and presented a monstrous model ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4060 Edition 8GB GDDR6, possibly also the OC version. Thanks to its cooling, it looks as if the card takes several times as much.
A giant cooler not dissimilar to the one from the ROG Strix RTX 4090 found its place here, which consumes 450W, i.e. almost 4 times higher. The cooler has a 3-slot design with three fans. Both versions retain their 115W consumption. But many will surely be pleased that the RTX 4060 is powered by a classic 8-pin connector in this case. The question, however, is whether such oversized cooling will be useful at all and whether it will justify the likely increased price, which could approach the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti.
