ASUS ExpertBook Ultra Outperforms Flagship Competitors with AI and Tandem OLED Technology

The ASUS ExpertBook Ultra has been positioned to outperform several key flagship competitor laptops in five technical categories, according to Commercial Director of ASUS Indonesia Eric Khoven. Speaking at a media gathering in Pontianak on Thursday, September 3, 2026, Khoven stated that the new model demonstrates significantly higher capabilities than rival enterprise devices on the market.

Hardware and Display Comparisons

According to ASUS Indonesia, the ExpertBook Ultra directly competes against models such as the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition, Dell Latitude 7450 Premium, HP EliteBook Ultra G1i AI 14, and the Apple MacBook Air M4 13-inch. In head-to-head metrics, the ASUS device leads in display brightness, featuring a 14-inch Tandem OLED panel that reaches 1400 nits HDR peak brightness for outdoor use. For navigation, the laptop incorporates a 110 cm² edge-to-edge glass haptic touchpad utilizing six sensors, contrasting with the four-sensor or conventional layouts found on competing models, as outlined by Eric Khoven.

Battery Life and Processing Power

The device houses a 70Whrs battery rated for up to 26 hours of active use, supporting rapid charging that reaches 50 percent capacity in 30 minutes. In comparison, competing devices feature batteries ranging between 50Whrs and 60Whrs while maintaining thicker and heavier chassis dimensions. Powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 Processor 388H, the ExpertBook Ultra includes a Neural Processing Unit capable of delivering up to 50 Trillion Operations Per Second. Eric Khoven noted that while rival flagship products in Indonesia still utilize Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2 processors maxing out at 48 TOPS, ASUS has integrated the newer architecture to handle intensive corporate multitasking scenarios.

AI Integration and Local Capabilities

Integrated graphics on the ExpertBook Ultra utilize the Intel Arc B390 with 12 Xe Cores, which Eric Khoven stated delivers roughly 35 percent higher performance than a discrete NVIDIA RTX 4050 GPU running at a 30W TGP in 3DMark Time Spy benchmarks. To support workplace efficiency, the ASUS AI Expert suite provides tools including ASUS MyExpert, ASUS AI ExpertMeet, and local agentic AI capabilities. Through ASUS AI ExpertMeet, transcription, language translation, and webcam optimization run directly inside the NPU. Additionally, the inclusion of Zenni Claw enables local or cloud-based agentic AI connections with platforms such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google Gemini. Supported by 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM, the device can run large language models locally without an internet connection, including Gemma with 4 billion parameters and Qwen 3 with 18 billion parameters.
