ASUS, a leading brand in the global consumer notebook and gaming notebook market, unveiled a number of high-performance new notebooks optimized for lifestyle, business, and gaming at the world’s largest international electronics exhibition (CES 2021).
The new products announced at CES 2021 are ▲ 2 GenBook Duo Series (GenBook Pro Duo 15 All Red, ZenBook Duo 14), ▲ 2 GenBook Series (GenBook 13 All Red, ZenBook Flip 15), ▲TUF Dash FX516, ▲ROG It consists of two types of Scars (ROG Scar G533, ROG Scar G733), ▲ROG Zephyrus Duo GX551, ▲ROG Flow GV301 & external graphics ROG XG Mobile.
The ZenBook Pro Duo 15 All Red (UX582) is a 15-inch premium laptop equipped with a 4K OLED HDR nanoedge display. The OLED display supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and realizes vivid visuals with vivid colors certified by Pantone. It is a display certified by the global verification agency’TÜV Rheinland’ and can be used for a long time by lowering the blue light. It is equipped with up to 10th generation Intel i9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce laptop GPU, and boasts powerful performance with 32GB memory and 1TB PCIe® 3.0 x4 SSD. ScreenPad Plus, which can be used as a dual display, supports up to 400 nits of brightness in 4K UHD high resolution and can be angled up to 9.5 degrees, so it is useful not only for document work but also for creative work such as video and photo editing. Thunderbolt 3 USB-C, HDMI 2.1, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, etc. are equipped with various ports to increase compatibility and support high-speed Wi-Fi 6. The stylus pen, which can be used for both dual displays, is mounted as a basic component and can be used in various ways.
The ZenBook Duo 14 (UX482) is a 14-inch laptop with a thin thickness of 16.9mm and a light weight of 1.6kg, and is equipped with an FHD NanoEdge display and a tilt-type screen pad Plus. Equipped with the latest 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 32GB memory, and 1TB PCIe® 3.0 x4 SSD, the GPU can be selected from NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics or Intel Iris Xᵉ graphics. The FHD touch display with an IPS panel certified by Pantone realizes a high screen-to-body ratio of 93%, and features two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C, HDMI, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, a micro SD slot port and Wi-Fi 6. It has excellent productivity by supporting it.
The ZenBook 13 All-Red (UX325) is a 13-inch notebook with a maximum FHD OLED display at a light weight of about 1.14kg and a thin thickness of 13.9mm. It is characterized by excellent portability with battery performance that can be used for about 13 hours. The ZenBook Flip 15 (UX564) is the world’s most compact 15-inch convertible notebook, and features an FHD nano-edge touch screen. Equipped with the latest 11th generation Intel Core H-series processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 graphics chipset, it maximizes productivity and creativity for gamers and creators.
TUF Dash FX516 is a high-performance 15-inch gaming laptop with up to 11th Gen Intel i7-11375H CPU, GeForce RTX GPU, and 32GB DDR4-4200 RAM. It has excellent portability with a slim thickness of 19.9mm and a light weight of 2kg, and it is also durable with MIL-STD-810H military certification. The battery, which can be used for up to 16 hours or longer, supports fast charging that charges up to 50% with a 30-minute charge, and can be charged in USB-C type, so you can enjoy high-performance games anywhere. ROG Scar G733 is a premium gaming laptop optimized for e-sports, and with a high refresh rate of up to 300Hz and a fast response speed of 3ms, you can play even high-end games seamlessly. It is equipped with the latest Ryzen 9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU, and is the first ROG Skar model to mount an optical keyboard to provide fast response and high durability. The portability is enhanced with a size that is up to 7% smaller than the previous model, and the large-capacity battery of 90Wh allows you to enjoy high-performance games anywhere. The audio performance was improved by mounting a quad speaker with Dolby Atmos technology, and the cooling performance and noise were also improved. ROG Scar G533 boasts a high refresh rate of 300Hz and a response speed of 3ms on a 15-inch display, and provides various convenience functions for gamers.
ROG Zephyrus Duo GX551 is a 15-inch premium gaming laptop with ROG ScreenPad Plus. The main display can be selected from a 120Hz 4K UHD IPS panel or a 300Hz FHD IPS panel, so it can be used in a variety of ways depending on the purpose of use, including games, videos, photos and graphics. It is equipped with the largest Nvidia GeForce RTX GPU and AMD Ryzen 9 processor to smoothly implement high-end games, while Active Aerodynamic System Plus (AAS Plus) reduces noise and enhances cooling performance. The auxiliary display that recognizes touch and stylus pen is useful for content creation, making it suitable for content creators as well as gamers.
ROG Flow GV301 is ASUS ROG’s first two-in-one gaming laptop, and it can rotate 360 degrees, so it can be used in a variety of tablet and notebook modes. It has excellent portability with a 15.8mm slim body design and a light weight of 1.3kg, and it is equipped with up to 8-core AMD Ryzen 9 processor, GeForce GTX1650 GPU, and 1TB PCIe® 3.0 x4 SSD to provide an excellent gaming experience. The display can be selected from an FHD or 4K UHD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a full-size edge-to-edge keyboard has been installed to enhance user convenience.
The ROG XG Mobile to be presented along with this is the latest GeForce RTX GPU and discrete graphics with a custom PCIe interface, an I/O hub and a built-in 280W adapter. It features a compact size that is only 6% of the size of a typical eGPU and supports desktop-level gaming performance even with a light weight of 1kg. It maintains a stable temperature with an efficient cooling function, and provides excellent performance and high connectivity by providing a dedicated graphics bandwidth of 63 Gbps.
Meanwhile, ASUS held ROG and ASUS online press events on January 12 and 13 local time at CES 2021. The price and release schedule of ASUS new notebooks announced at CES 2021 are undecided, and will be introduced in Korea in the first half of this year.
