The Asturian Government will not extend from Monday the prohibition of opening the interior of nightlife establishments, in force since July 13, and will extend the closing hours of said premises from 1:00 to 3:00 early morning hours.
The Minister of Health, Pablo Fernández, has indicated that, in this way, he will return to the regulations approved in June, which maintained the prohibition of bar consumption for all hotels and the limit of six customers per table indoors and ten on terraces, although it will be modified again next week to adapt to the epidemiological situation.

The head of Health has stressed that, despite the change in trend in the evolution of infections that has allowed Asturias to be at medium risk of transmission and at low risk in terms of healthcare pressure, it is still necessary to adapt life to the presence of a virus that continues to circulate without “being fooled” or being carried away by “euphoria”.
“We cannot believe that we are going to stop using masks in the short term and we must continue to be very careful with the ventilation of closed spaces, maintain a safe distance and hand hygiene,” he warned.
However, he has shown his satisfaction with the evolution of parameters such as the incidence at 14 days per hundred thousand inhabitants in Asturias, the lowest in Spain after falling by 30 percent in the last week, and with the progress of the vaccination program which has already made it possible to immunize 80.5% of the population of the Principality, the highest percentage of the autonomous communities as a whole.
