Asturias, full path to the Pilar bridge | Radio Asturias

We are at the gates of the long weekend that will end at the festival of El Pilar, which is a bridge and not a macro-bridge, as assured by the Asturian hospitality and tourism association. In any case, this weekend, a little longer, is presented with good occupancy data. There is no complaint, according to the vice president of OTEA, Fernando Corral which explains that “especially Friday and Saturday show very good data.” He affirms that the bridge is noticeable especially on Sunday, that compared to another weekend, when it is usually weaker, it will increase in occupancy. Corral also indicates that since they ended in summer the weekends are behaving very well in terms of hotel occupancy

Rural accommodations are waiting for last minute reservations, which are always there. Even so, they are very satisfied with an occupancy that could reach 95%. The president of the Asturian Federation of Rural Tourism, Adriano Berdasco, believes that the end of the restrictions can also influence, that people want to go out and enjoy: “You have to wait for the furthest behind to know the total data, although there are also very far-sighted people.” So much so that it anticipates us that some establishments already have reservations even for New Year’s Eve

We are also on the threshold of a new normal, which will bring us the resolution of the Asturian government that, as announced, will be approved this Friday. As the executive has already advanced, it will come to eliminate all regional covid restrictions in all sectors, except for the mask. Regarding the fact that it is at the end of the weekend when that resolution will be published, from OTEA they once again express their discomfort at the fact, something that is not news for them but that does not facilitate the adaptation of their businesses to the new regulations.
