Asturias denies Minister Darias: “We have no case or close contact with the Mallorca outbreak” | BE Gijón | Today for Today Gijón

Asturias has no cases of COVID-19 linked to the macro outbreak of Mallorca. The Government of the Principality has denied the minister Carolina Darias after this Wednesday he included the community on the list of those affected. “We do not have any case or close contact related to this outbreak,” say counseling sources consulted by BE Gijón. In addition to the positives from two trips to southern Spain, the trackers are encountering many small encounters of young people – especially between 20 and 29 years old both inside and outside of Asturias.

At present, the cumulative incidence in the community is close to one hundred cases. It is a situation that worries the administrations. Therefore, the president of the Principality, Adrián Barbón, He has not ruled out having to adopt measures, although he trusts everything “to epidemiological evolution” and asks young people for “prudence.”

The mayor of Oviedo, Alfredo CanteliIt also looks towards the young. The councilor has acknowledged that so far “he has done very well”, but has insisted on the need to keep his distance and use the face mask. Canteli has recognized that “one day they make you a bottle here and another day they make it to you in another place, it is not easy.”

From the National Police they are also aware of the evolution of the behavior of young people. The summer arrangements are going to be reinforced to ensure compliance with the regulations, although the Chief of Police of Asturias, Luisa María Benvenuty, has indicated that the macro-bottles and parties in Oviedo and Gión were “punctual”.
