Asturias continues as the community with the lowest incidence of COVID in fourteen days | BE Gijón

The cumulative incidence of coronavirus to fourteen days in Asturias continues to decline after going from 262 cases per 100,000 inhabitants on Friday to 224 and it stays like the community with the lowest rate, well below the national average of 415, according to data published this Monday by the Ministry of Health.

In the incidence at seven days, Asturias also remains the autonomous community with the lowest rate with 91 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to 168 for the country as a whole.

Among the young from 20 to 29 years old It has also dropped from 707 to 557 cases, the second lowest incidence in the country, behind the Canary Islands (500), while in those aged between 12 and 19 years it has gone from 801 to 706, a figure that remains only above the Canary Islands and Catalonia.

According to the hospital pressure in Asturias, the occupancy of beds by covid-19 patients has gone from 3.4 to 3.6 percent while in the ICU it has also increased 10.4 to 10.7 percent, percentages that in the country as a whole they stand at 7.9 and 20.9 percent, respectively.
