The Principality Health Service and the Oviedo University have organized six days of vaccination against him coronavirus Walk-ins to increase the degree of immunization of academic institution staff and students. To this end, six mobile vaccination points will be set up on the different campuses. The spaces will be operational from 09:00 to 12:00 hours in Oviedo, Gijón and You see.
Friday September 17
The vaccination point will be set up on the side esplanade of the Campoamor theater in Oviedo. The call is addressed to the students and staff of the School of Mining, Energy and Materials Engineering and the Faculty of Psychology, as well as all central services personnel who have not yet been vaccinated.
Monday September 20
At the Gijón campus, prophylaxis will be applied to staff and students from the Jovellanos Faculty of Commerce, Tourism and Social Sciences, the Polytechnic School of Engineering, the Higher School of the Civil Navy and the Gijón Faculty of Nursing. The mobile point will be located between the North and South classrooms, specifically on the pedestrian street between the buildings.
Tuesday September 21
The vaccination of the university community of the Polytechnic School of Mieres will be carried out on the Mieres campus, at a point that will be installed at the main door, on Gonzalo Gutiérrez Quirós street, on the sidewalk.
Wednesday September 22
The mobile unit will be installed on the Llamaquique de Oviedo campus, in the North Building, located on Aniceto Sela street, in the old Faculty of Education. The call is addressed to the staff and students of the Faculties of Geology, Sciences and Teacher Training, the School of Computer Engineering, the Padre Ossó Faculty, and the San Gregorio and América colleges.
Thursday September 23
The prophylaxis will be applied at the Cristo de Oviedo campus, in front of the Severo Ochoa Cristo B building, on Fernando Bongeda street. The day will be dedicated to the staff and students of the faculties of Biology, Law, Economics and Business, Medicine and Health Sciences and Chemistry.
Friday September 24
The mobile point will be installed on the Milan campus in Oviedo, in front of the classroom A of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, on the intercampus pedestrian street. The appeal is addressed to the university community of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters. The campaign is aimed primarily at university staff and students, although anyone residing in the Principality can join by providing their ID.

In addition, the Health Service maintains the call for the second VACFriday day of vaccination against the coronavirus without prior appointment for next Friday, the 17th. Eight fixed points have been enabled for this, one in each health area. On the first day, held on the 10th, 885 doses were administered, in addition to the 4,714 of the first call for vaccinations without an appointment on September 2.
Campaign ‘Get vaccinated ho / Get vaccinated ne’
The campaign ‘Vacúnate ho / Vacúnate ne’ is also ongoing to attract people pending immunization through self-appointment, which includes different actions on social networks. In addition to these special support initiatives, the Health Service continues with the self-citation process for the population pending to receive their first dose. Interested persons must select the date and time to receive the prophylaxis by selecting Appointment request – Covid vaccination call, 12 years or more.
