He Asturias airport begins its particular de-escalation and as of this Thursday the company Volotea resume an activity that will be full from July 1. Six companies and fifteen connections will make up a grid of flights that will require extreme sanitary precautions.
Málaga has been the first destination of the new normal. After three months with only one flight a week between Asturias and Madrid, Volotea has resumed its flights and on July 1 the rest of the companies that will operate from Asturias will join them. Carlos San Martín, director of the Asturian airport, explains that “it is the date with which we work.”
The new normal brings strict sanitary measures to ensure the safety of passengers. Among others, welcoming travelers or saying goodbye to them in the airport hall is already part of history.
Reactivated transport
The Government of the Principality also retakes the public transportation to the airport from this Thursday. The service is adjusted to meet the needs of users of the flights confirmed today, which arrive and depart from the Asturian terminal at Madrid, Malaga, Valencia, Ibiza, Seville, Palma de Mallorca, Menorca and Valencia. In July, a higher frequency of the buses until recovering the four that circulate.
