Asturians Remain Loyal to Television: August Daily Consumption Averages 3 Hours and 27 Minutes

Viewers in the Principality spent an average of 3 hours and 27 minutes in front of the small screen during August

Asturians remain faithful to television. Although its consumption drops, especially among the lowest sector of the population, during the month of August, the average daily consumption per viewer reached 310 minutes, that is, 3 hours and 27 minutes, which is 60 seconds more than in August of 2022.

Asturias has been relegated in daily television consumption by Valencia, whose viewers spent an average of 320 minutes in front of the screen each day. Also close to Asturias are the Canary Islands (308 minutes) and Murcia and the Basque Country (306). The average in Spain reached 299 minutes, which is 5 minutes more than in August 2022. The data belongs to the weekly report prepared by the agency Windward Communication.

Regarding the consumption of the autonomous television of the Principality (TPA), its monitoring remains weak. In August, the channel reached a 5% audience share, which places it, percentage-wise, in tenth place among the regional channels. These are the same data as those for the month of July. The news programs perform better, as usual, and achieve an average of 9.5% share, being ninth in the region.

Among the most watched programs, the one dedicated to Tiempo on August 29 is in first position, with 25,000 viewers and a 9.9% screen share.
