A Houston Astroworld festival security guard was stabbed in the neck with a needle before being injected with an unknown substance during the event that left eight people dead, the Houston Texas City Police Chief confirmed .

“An individual injected drugs into other people,” Troy Finner, chief of the City of Houston Police Department, told a press conference.
“We have the report from the medical team that a security guard was unconscious and was treated. He was trying to restrain a citizen when he felt a prick in his neck, ”says Troy Finner.
“He was unconscious during his exam, so he received NARCAN. He was resuscitated and the medical team noticed a prick similar to that of a needle ”, explains the police officer.
The Astroworld festival, launched by rapper Travis Scott, was the scene of a tragedy last Friday as a crowd movement killed eight people and injured several hundred out of the 50,000 people present.
Since then, the festival has found itself in the hot seat as several people denounce the lack of organization and security for an event of this magnitude.
Travis Scott said he was “devastated” by the events and offered his full cooperation to the Houston police.
