Astros beat Angels 8-1; Javier achieves another gem

HOUSTON (AP) — Cristian Javier got another gem, allowing one hit over seven innings and striking out a career-high 14 in the Houston Astros’ 8-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night. Angels.

The 25-year-old Dominican pitcher made his first start since striking out 13 in seven innings in Saturday’s game against the Yankees that he shared with relievers.
