Simon Holland, who has worked on documentaries for projects funded by the BBC and NASA, said an Oxford-backed program to search for extraterrestrial signals had quietly identified “non-human intelligence in our galaxy”.
The signal – a five-hour stream of radio waves – appeared to come from a region around Proxima Centauri, a star about 4.2 light-years from Earth. The Oxford team confirmed it was analyzing the signal, but did not reveal the likely source.
The signal was detected in 2019, but then, in 2021, scientists commented that it was most likely “contaminated”. That is, it is not real and looks like a signal from Earth.
However, Holland now claims that astronomers have changed their minds and the signal is indeed extraterrestrial in nature. “They are looking for details, hence the delay in publishing the news,” Holland told the DailyMail.
And it adds that a source from the non-profit organization Breakthrough Listen claims to have finally found proof of extraterrestrial life.
The evidence for the existence of extraterrestrials will be published in a month. And the reason is that the Breakthrough Listen project team is currently “collecting detailed evidence”, says Simon.
Earlier, a TikTok user who calls himself a “time traveler from 2671” has pinpointed the exact date of humanity’s first contact with an extraterrestrial civilization.
According to him, on November 12, an “alien artifact containing a mysterious disease” will be discovered in Antarctica.
