JAKARTA, kilat.com- In another step to find out a complete picture of the origins of life in Earthastronomers have discovered amino acids in asteroid samples.

Adding evidence to the idea that various amino acids exist in matter the sky off Earth, researchers aboard the spacecraft Hayabusa2 brought back more than 20 types of amino acids from the asteroid Ryugu.

The Hayabusa2 spacecraft, launched by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), aims to advance asteroid exploration technology.

According to the ministry of education Japanamino acids found are substances that are very important for living things and can be a clue to understanding the origin of life.

Living organisms use asam amino to make the proteins that make them the basic building blocks of life.

Asteroid Ryugu, located more than 300 million kilometers from Earth, contains material dating back to when the solar system was created 4.6 billion years ago.

Since it would not have survived the planet’s molten origin, such primordial material could not be found on Earth.

Although scientists cannot rule out the possibility that the amino acids came from a terrestrial source, the amino acids were previously obtained from meteorites that fell to Earth.
