Astrid Valek is moving to the Viennese law firm CMS in a double management role: The manager takes over the management of the areas of business development and marketing & communications. In her role she will be responsible for Austria and all CEE locations. Increasing digitization, innovations and sustainability are topics that have also fundamentally changed the legal industry, according to the law firm. To do this, strategies for business development, marketing and communication are required.
Advertising cupid for HDI campaign
Valek was most recently Marketing Director at HDI Lebensversicherung and in 2020, together with her team, won the advertising Cupid in gold for the “7 kg LEBENSWERT” campaign. Before that, she was marketing manager and press spokesperson for the Austrian Civil Service Insurance (ÖBV) and head of business development at DenizBank AG. Here she managed the Austria and Germany-wide expansion with 14 new bank branches as well as the development of the Deniz savings plan, which is a successful product in the universal bank’s portfolio to this day.
