Astrid Kersseboom new presenter NOS Radio 1 Journaal

Astrid Kersseboom becomes the new presenter of the NOS Radio 1 News. She is the successor of Jurgen van den Berg, who switches to Omroep Max after presenting the program for six years. Kersseboom will be behind the microphone for the first time on Monday 3 January. She stops at television.

Astrid Kersseboom (55) has a long track record with the NOS: she started in 1998 as a newsreader at the NOS Radio news. In 2001 she switched to TV, to OUR Sport Studio. Three years later, January 2004, it followed NOS News. There she presented not only the news, but also hours of breaking news broadcasts. From 2007 she also had the royal family in her package.

Presenter determines tone

Astrid Kersseboom is looking forward to it. “After 21 years of TV I’m going back to my old love, the radio and then also as the presenter of the NOS Radio 1 News, the broadcast that now wakes me up every day.”

She calls it a program in which the presenter largely determines the tone and in which you are heavily involved in journalistic content. “As the start of the day, it is one of the most important broadcasts of NPO Radio 1. I am therefore honoured. It means a great responsibility, but I am happy to take it on.”
