Astrid Joosten should provide lightness together with Paul de Leeuw on Friday evening On 1, but after six months the channel pulled the plug again. “I thought it was a nice adventure, although there was criticism,” says the presenter herself in the newspaper. “In our first broadcasts I saw that we were looking: what will that Friday show be, how do you package it in interviews? Paul in particular was quite unsure about that, I dare to tell you. He is a free bird, who makes its own programs. A talk show with limited bandwidth is very different.”

Criticism is simply part of it, says Astrid. But that Angela de Jong claims that she has too little journalistic expertise, that goes for the What do you earn?presenter not in. Astrid explains: “You know, I don’t care much for criticism in the media and really only listen to a small group around me. I myself am my biggest critic: I look back on everything.”
Astrid, who says in the interview that she has a contract with BNNVARA until after her 65th birthday, does not rule out ever returning to the talk show. “I also did broadcasts with less entertainment, with Hugo Logtenberg, when Sophie Hilbrand was ill. That went well,” said Astrid.
