AstraZeneca vaccine – woman dies after vaccination in Croatia

In Croatia, a woman has died after receiving a coronavirus vaccine with the AstraZeneca vaccine. This is the first death that can be associated with the consequences of the use of the drug by a British-Swedish company.

According to the Croatian Agency for Medicines and Medical Products, one death was reported due to pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the pulmonary artery) of a 91-year-old Croatian citizen. She was previously vaccinated with AstraZeneca.

The agency, in particular, noted that on the basis of the available medical documentation it is impossible to establish a causal relationship regarding this fatal case. Because of this, the organization requested all necessary additional information to establish the cause of death.
